MEET DEVON
Hi, I’m Devon and I have a long history in education and working with those who learn differently. I’m passionate about helping people understand and accept how their brain works and finding ways to apply those differences to their real-life experiences with success!
I have a Master's degree in Learning and Instruction with a concentration in special education. I taught special education for four years in public schools. During that time, I worked with students with learning disabilities including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, autism, ADHD, and behavioral issues. Later, I developed and ran an outdoor preschool called, Little Lemon Tree in my San Francisco community. I wrote the curriculum, trained teachers, and worked within the governmental organizations that oversaw my business. I am currently working on my certification as an Educational Therapist. I provide executive function coaching that supports students one-on-one who have learning differences and also adults looking for work, career transitions or just become better organized.. My approach is client-led, client-centered, goal-oriented, and data-driven. I have life skills coaching experience with clients with ASD, ADHD, and ID diagnoses. I work to build independent skills for my clients and connect them and their families to community support and resources.
I am not only an advocate professionally for those with learning disabilities and other learning challenges but I am a parent of children with some of those same challenges.I have experience on both sides of the table. I look forward to meeting you, and if we are a good fit, being part of your team to help build your student’s skills and success.
